Reflections
If I won the lottery I wouldn't care
for the love of my life is no longer there,
Bright eyes that look intently into mine
soft paws and kisses-sweet moments sublime-
I hear a love song-oh it tugs at my heart
every facet of living, every dream she was part
I find myself calling that dear little name
Silent echoes alert me, it isn't the same
In dreams I cuddle, run, play and have fun-
Awake bitter tears fall- for her day is done
She understood every word that I said,
My thoughts, ideas, feelings-her little mind read
A small Chinese package with long silky hair
A precious royal princess-a jewel so rare
from the tip of her nose to the plume of her tail
By such perfection and beauty, all others did pale
She was my sunshine -The light of my soul,
Delight of my life-a wonder all told.
With a prayerful whisper, I'll place a pink rose,
Within my bruised heart, I feel that she knows,
Where ever I go now I'll miss you my love-
I know that your soul is in heaven above.
I thank God daily for her sweet life and breath,
I loved her completely - eternally past death.
Wishful reflections while on bended knees,
Ahhh! I have known the love of a Pekingese.
